As part of God’s creation, we were created by perfection to, eventually, become perfection and dwell with God. When the plan started to unfold, God repeatedly looked upon His creation and called it “good”. Finally, He creates man and stated that their creation was “very good”. At the end of the creation of all that was made, the Word states that He rested. In doing so, He also sanctified this day as holy. In addition, it is imperative that we understand that the Sabbath was not only made to rest from weekly labors, but also to come together (in the place that the Lord chose to place His name) to strengthen one another and UNDERSTAND His Word.
